Developed design

In this stage, we work closely with you and the quantity surveyor to resolve a design that aligns with your budget. We refine the design and confirm any final design decisions in preparation for the following stage of Detail Design and Documentation.

We will develop a computer model of the build and confirm all the elements, including structure, building services, materials, finishes, window and wall set-outs. This will give both you and us the chance to look closely at the details of the design to ensure that everything maintains the integrity of the vision we have been working on together.

This stage will give us all a clear understanding of the scope of work, costs and the architectural look and feel of the build. It’s an exciting stage, when we fine-tune the ideas we’ve all been talking through. It’s also an important stage as everyone needs to completely understand and be comfortable with the design before we move on to creating the architectural drawings that will be used for consent and construction processes.

  • We can ask the quantity surveyor to price the implications of any major changes that come up during this stage.
